We are a Copenhagen-based tech start-up with an award-winning book-creation Web App for young elementary students. The Danish version, “Skriv og læs,” is reaching 50% of the Danish public schools – with documented results of enhancing children’s learning. For over 200 years schools have used basically the same methods to teach children to write and read. Still, every fifth child today is functionally illiterate. We have a mission to change that by globally offering motivating learning tools built on proven pedagogical principles. This makes us very busy. We see user growth in the US and have recently launched branded versions in several European countries through partnerships. Last year, we secured 10,5 Million DKK in project funding from Innovation Fund Denmark together with DTU and DPU to develop new features using new technologies, like AI/Machine learning.
Currently, we are 3 developers in the company – a backend dev, a frontend dev and a tech lead/senior frontend dev. We would love to welcome you on the team!
You are a skilled backend developer and a passionate coder that wants to have fun while taking part in changing the way our next generation learns. We imagine you can see yourself in many of these traits:
The WriteReader Web App is 100% API-driven, meaning the frontend app and backend/API is completely separated and deployed/maintained separately. The following are important elements in our backend stack, but you do not necessarily need deep experience with every specific framework/service. The important thing is that you are bringing experience that enables you to become skilled in this environment.
Send your CV and cover letter to Babar Baig (CEO) on firstname.lastname@example.org. If any questions, do not hesitate to write or call on +45 23 20 99 88. We seek to fill this position soon and will continually interview relevant applicants.
Please note: We are currently not considering candidates who will need to relocate from abroad for the position.
